Vishwakarma Furniture

We’re located in Umiya Estate, which is tucked inside the Sukhram Estate on Vimal Flourmill Lane. It's in the Rakhial area, right off NH 8. Vishwakarma Furniture isn't a big retail store like you'd see in a mall. Our units are 8 and 8A. This is where we actually make things. The smell of sawdust is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We have various pieces of wood stacked up against the walls, waiting to be turned into tables or cupboards. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don't have a fancy website or a sales pitch. We just show people what we are working on. Most of our days are spent with hammers, saws, and sandpaper. It’s dusty and loud, but there’s something good about finishing a piece of furniture and seeing it ready to go out. We get a lot of local people coming in from around Rakhial. They know where to find us in the estate. We don't use a lot of complicated designs. We just build things that are sturdy and do what they are supposed to do. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start a section over, but that’s just part of working with your hands. We keep our prices fair because we know how hard people work for their money. It’s a simple life here in the workshop. We enjoy the process of turning raw wood into something useful for a family home.
