Our workshop is located at Plot Number 1112 in the GIDC area of Vatva. If you know where the Kalupur Commercial Office is, we are just a short walk from there. Phase-3 is always loud with the sound of metal being cut and welded. That is just the way it sounds around here from morning until the gates close. We started Shreeji Engineers & Fabricators with a few machines and a lot of sweat. Now the place is full of tools and scraps of steel. It gets really hot in the summer under the tin roof, but the work has to get done. Fabricating parts isn't exactly a clean job, so our clothes are usually stained with grease by lunch. We see a lot of local factory owners coming by to ask about repairs or custom builds. The traffic in Vatva can be a real headache, especially when the big lorries are trying to turn into these narrow lanes. We mostly keep our heads down and focus on the welding torches. Sometimes the power goes out and everything goes quiet for a bit, which is a strange feeling in a place that’s usually so noisy. We aren't big on meetings or long emails. Most of our talking happens right on the shop floor over the noise of the grinders. It is a tough life but it's what we know how to do best.
