Shree Siddheswari Engineering

Our workshop is at 84, Hari Villa Society, which is right near the canal in the Odhav area. Odhav is known for its engineering and factories so we fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood. The sound of the machines is something you just get used to after a while. We do a lot of metal work and machining which means there are always iron shavings on the floor and the smell of oil in the air. It’s a tough job and it can be very tiring when the weather is hot. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. Our workspace is where the actual work happens every day. Being near the canal is nice because sometimes there is a bit of a breeze but mostly it is just a busy industrial setting. We have a few guys who have been working with us for years and they know the machines better than anyone. We don’t really go out looking for fame or big awards. We just take the orders as they come and try to finish them before the deadline. It’s mostly about being reliable and showing up every morning to get the lathes running. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend the whole day fixing a motor but that is just part of the business. We just keep going and try to stay on top of the work.
