Shakti Mata Flour Factory

We are located in Ghodasar, specifically at the No-3 Park Shopping Store area on P.D Pandya Road. It is a bit of a crowded spot with all the shops, but we like it that way. The factory part is where the heavy grinding happens every day. People bring their grain in from the surrounding neighborhood houses. We have a few different machines going at once, so the noise can be quite a lot to handle if you are not used to it. Being in a shopping store area means there are always people walking by or looking in through the doorway. We keep things pretty straightforward and simple. We take the grain, we weigh it on the old scale, and we put it through the mill. You can smell the fresh flour as soon as you get close to our front door. P.D Pandya Road gets quite busy during the late afternoons, so sometimes the deliveries are a bit slow getting to us. We do not have a fancy waiting room or anything like that, just some space for people to sit on the wooden benches we put out. My brother and I run most of the daily work ourselves. We spend a lot of time cleaning the stones to make sure the flour comes out okay. It is a dusty job and our clothes are always white by the time we go home at night. We have been in Ghodasar for a while now and know the local families.
