Shakti Engineering

If you head over to the Odhav area and look behind the 8, Pranami Estate, B/H. Torrent Power, Odhav, you will find our workshop. Shakti Engineering is tucked away right there in the industrial heart of the city. It is a busy spot, so there is always the smell of machine oil and the sound of metal clanking from the neighbors. Our workshop is not the cleanest place in the world, but it is where all the actual work happens. We have various tools and machines spread out across the floor, and there is usually a fine layer of dust on everything by the end of a long shift. The office part is just a small partitioned area with a couple of desks and a lot of technical drawings rolled up in the corners. We spend most of our time out on the floor, making sure the parts are being machined properly and checked for errors. It is hot work, especially during the peak of summer, but we have a few big industrial fans to move the air around as much as possible. We get a lot of local workers coming in and out, and there is always a truck being loaded or unloaded at the estate gate. We do not have fancy signs; people just know where we are. The day usually starts with a quick meeting over some hot tea and ends when the last machine is finally switched off for the night.
