You can find Savas Engineering Company Pvt.Ltd. over at Block No.498 in the Radhe Industrial Estate. The estate is usually humming with the sound of other factories, so you never really get a quiet moment during the day. Our shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings or bits of oil from the machines we use. It is a dirty job sometimes, but someone has to do it. We have a few lathes and some welding gear that get used every single day. Most of the guys working here have been working with their hands for many years. We don’t have a fancy reception area with a secretary. If you come by to visit, you will probably find us on the shop floor rather than sitting behind a desk. The heat in the summer gets pretty intense inside the metal shed, so we keep the big doors wide open to catch any breeze we can. We do a lot of custom parts for different people. Someone brings in a rough drawing on a piece of paper, and we figure out how to make it out of steel or aluminum. It is a lot of measuring and then measuring again just to make sure we didn't mess up the cut. We share the block with a few other businesses, so there is always a lot of loading and unloading happening in the shared driveway. It is a practical place for practical work. We don't worry much about how things look as long as the parts work like they should.
