We've been at 83/2 in Ghanshyam Estate for quite a while now. It’s right across from Mamta Nagar near the Virat Nagar cross road in Bapunagar. Most people in the area know the spot. Our shop floor at Sarjak Machine Tools Company is usually busy with someone working on a lathe or checking over some spare parts. It gets dusty, and the noise from the street outside sometimes drifts in through the open doors. We focus on machine tools because that’s what we know how to do. There’s no fancy lobby here, just a lot of heavy steel and some old desks tucked into the corner. My brother and I usually handle the orders ourselves. Sometimes the deliveries are late because the road gets blocked by traffic, but we try to keep things moving. We don’t really do much advertising around here. People mostly find us through word of mouth or if they’re already in the estate looking for something specific. It's a lot of manual work. We spend our mornings checking the stock and the afternoons usually involve making sure the machines are running right for the next job. There’s almost always grease on someone's hands. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, mostly just more traffic and noise. But the way we handle the tools hasn't changed much. We just show up, do the work, and hope the equipment holds up for the customer. It’s a simple way to run things.
