Shreeji Engineering Works

We spend most of our days here at Shreeji Engineering Works inside the Pushpraj Industrial Estate. It’s a busy spot in the Nutan Mill Compound over in Saraspur. If you know this part of town, you know it gets quite crowded with all the workshops around. We’ve been set up at P/B/8 for a while now. The morning starts early when we open the shutters and get the machines going. There is always noise from the other units nearby, but that is just how things are in an industrial area like this. We handle various engineering tasks. Some days are slower than others. Usually, we are just busy with the work at hand, making sure things get done properly before the sun goes down. People often get lost finding the right block because the compound is big. We just tell them to look for the signs near the entrance. It is a dusty place, honestly. But we like being in Saraspur because it feels like the heart of the old industrial side. My desk is usually covered in papers and some small metal parts. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning everywhere, just the fans blowing the heat around. It is a real place where people work with their hands. Sometimes we take a tea break at the stall around the corner. That is when we talk about the jobs for the next day. It's just a regular engineering shop doing what we know.
