S P Engineering Co Naroda

Our workshop is tucked away in Shreeji Estate, specifically at D/9, right across from the telephone exchange in Naroda GIDC. If you know the area near Sutar Karkhana, we are not far from there. S P Engineering Co Naroda has been part of this industrial estate for years. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there is always a smell of oil in the air. We do a lot of machining and repair work for the other factories around here. It is a practical space where we spend most of our time at the benches or operating the drills. The roof is high but it still gets quite stuffy in the summer months. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear overalls and get grease under our fingernails every single day. Some days are purely about fixing old parts that have worn out, and other days we are trying to figure out how to make a new component from a rough sketch. The guys here have a lot of experience with the older machines we use. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. If you come by, you'll probably find us in the middle of a job. We just take things one day at a time and try to get the work out the door on time. It's a busy life here in Naroda.
