S. K. Engineering

If you find yourself in Gidc near the Ada Company, you’ll probably see S. K. Engineering. We are right at Plot No. 935, which is directly opposite the Abad Bekari. It’s actually quite nice because the smell of fresh bread from the bakery sometimes covers up the smell of machine oil. We have been working out of this unit for a while now. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with scraps of metal and different tools scattered around, but we know where everything is. It’s a typical industrial setup with high ceilings and heavy doors that we roll up in the morning. Gidc is always humming with activity, and we are just one part of that machine. My brother and I usually handle the main jobs ourselves while a few helpers do the heavy lifting. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements; the local guys know what we do. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is a pain, but we just wait it out. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day and making sure the parts are cut correctly. We have a small table in the corner where we eat our tiffin and have a chat during the lunch break. It’s a simple operation, really, focused on doing the work that comes through the door.
