We are based over at Plot No. 5/A in the Amba Estate. It’s right across from the Chhas Kendra, which most people around the GIDC Vavta area know about. Being near the Ring Road makes it fairly easy for transport and getting things in and out. The workshop stays pretty busy throughout the week. We aren't one of those big companies with a shiny glass building. It’s a standard industrial plot where we do our engineering and mechanical work. There is usually some grease on the floor and the sound of tools being used. We like it that way. It shows we are actually working. The office is just a small part of the building. Most of our time is spent out where the machines are. We’ve been in this spot for a good number of years now. We know the other business owners on the street. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We don't have a dedicated sales team or anyone to talk about big goals. We just take the drawings or the parts and do the job. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, but we just manage. It’s a practical life. We keep a small crew who knows their way around the equipment. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in our work clothes. That’s just the way S K Engimech operates. We don't mind the noise or the dirt because it means we are getting things done.
