Ritak Traders

Ritak Traders is found at Shop No.1908 on Kalupur Tower Road. If you know Kalupur, you know how busy and cramped it can get, especially near Hajira Ni Pole. Our shop is right in the middle of all that activity. It’s an old building with high ceilings and narrow aisles. We have stuff stacked everywhere, and sometimes it feels like the shelves might give way, but they’ve held up for years. My brother and I have been running this place since our father retired. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a fancy sales pitch. We just open the shop, wait for the customers, and do our best to find what they need in the piles of stock. The street outside is a constant flow of people and handcarts, so it’s never really quiet. We have a small wooden table where we do all our paperwork by hand. The fan above us makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing after all these years. We know most of the other traders on the road, and we often look out for each other’s shops. It’s a practical way to work. We aren't interested in being the biggest traders in the city. We just like our spot here in Kalupur and the daily rhythm of the market. Sometimes it’s stressful when the deliveries are late or the street is blocked, but we just take it as it comes. We are just a local trading business doing things the way they’ve always been done.
