Uma Engineering Works

We are Uma Engineering Works, and you can find us at 201 Vishala Industrial Estate. We’re located in the Kathwada GIDC area, right near Madhuram on the S P Ring Road. Being close to the ring road is helpful for getting materials in and out, though the traffic can be a nightmare during peak hours. Our workshop is a practical place. It smells like grease and cut metal, which is exactly how an engineering shop should smell. We have a few machines that have been with us since we opened, and we know exactly how they sound when they’re running right. We aren't interested in being the biggest shop in the GIDC. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. Some days we're working on small parts, and other days we're fixing something big that someone brought in on a trailer. It’s heavy work, and it’s often very hot in the summer months under the tin roof. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. If you want something done, you just come by the shop and talk to us. We’ll tell you if we can do it and how long it’ll take. We’ve had some of the same customers for years because they know what to expect from us. We don't make big promises we can't keep. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get to it. That's the only way we know how to run a shop.
