Krishna Engineering Works

Krishna Engineering Works is located at No. 36 in Mahadev Estate Part-5. We are right near the Ramol Police Station on C.T.M. Mill Road. If you walk down Maa Durga Gali in the Modern area, you’ll hear the sound of machines long before you see the shop. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud and there’s always grease on someone’s hands. We have a few lathes and some heavy welding equipment taking up most of the floor space. Metal scraps usually end up in the corners until we clear them out on Saturdays. I’ve been working with metal for years, and this place is where I spend most of my time. We take on various fabrication jobs and repair work for bigger factories nearby. The heat from the welding can be a lot in the summer months, but we keep the big fans going. It’s a gritty job, and our clothes are always stained with oil or iron dust. We don’t have an office with air conditioning; we just have a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledgers and a few tools. People come by with broken parts or sketches of things they need made, and we see what we can do. It’s honest work, and we’ve been at this same spot near the C.T.M. Cross Road for quite a while now. It’s nothing fancy, just a workshop where things get built and the floor is always covered in iron shavings from the day's labor.
