We are located in the Dharnidhar Industrial Estate over in Rakhial. If you’re coming from Soni Ni Chawl, we aren't hard to find at unit number 53. This estate has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the old walls and the way the roads are worn down by the trucks. Engineering is a noisy business, and our shop is no different. There is always the hum of machines and the smell of cutting oil in the air. We don’t have a big corporate sign or a glass lobby. It’s just the workshop floor and a small desk where we keep the invoices and drawings. Most days are spent hunched over a lathe or a milling machine, making sure the specs are correct for whatever job we have. It’s dusty and sometimes the power fluctuates, which is just part of being in this area. We’ve got a small crew, mostly guys who have been doing this for years and don't need to be told what to do twice. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up during the afternoon break. It’s a rough and ready kind of life here in Rakhial. We take on all sorts of engineering jobs, some big and some just small repairs for other local shops. We just stay busy and keep the machines running as much as we can. It is a simple way of making a living.
