Propeller Pumps

If you head down to Kathwada and look for Road No. 13 in the G.I.D.C. area, you will eventually find Plot No. 512/ 6/ 17. That is where we keep Propeller Pumps running. It is a typical industrial setup. There is always a bit of oil on the floor and the sound of metal hitting metal. We spend our days looking at impellers and shafts. It is dusty work because of all the construction nearby, but we are used to it by now. The team here isn't very big. We have a few guys who have been fixing pumps since they were teenagers. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you walk in, you’ll probably see someone in blue overalls wiping their hands on a rag. The G.I.D.C. is a busy place, so there are trucks coming and going all the time. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we all just sit outside on the steps and wait. It gives us a chance to catch our breath. We handle a lot of different pump sizes, some small enough to carry and some that need the hoist. We don't spend money on shiny signs. Most of our tools are older than the staff, but they still work just fine. It’s just how we do things here in Kathwada. We show up, we fix what’s broken, and we head home.
