We are out in Phase-II of the G.I.D.C. industrial area in Vatva. Our plot is 415/1. If you know Vatva at all, you know it’s mostly just factories, warehouses, and big trucks. It’s not the prettiest place to spend your day, but it’s where the real work gets done. Premcem Gums has been operating out of this same shed for many years. It’s often noisy because of the machinery running in the plots next to us. We’ve got a small, cramped office at the very front of the plot where we keep all the records and ledgers. The air always has a bit of a scent from the materials we work with. It's a smell you honestly stop noticing after working here for a week. We have a few guys on the floor who have been with us since we first opened the doors. They know how to fix the machines better than any manual could explain. We don’t have a human resources department or a fancy marketing team. We just have people who know how to make things properly. It gets incredibly hot in the summer months inside these G.I.D.C. units. We do what we can with the few floor fans we have. Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly, and we just sit outside on the steps for a bit until it comes back on. It’s just part of being in an industrial zone. We don’t mind it much because the work is steady.
