Naroda Road is always full of energy, and being in Phase II of the GIDC estate means we are right in the middle of all that industrial action. Our address at C-1-B/199/5 is basically our second home. We spend way more time here than at our actual houses. Making moulds is what we do, and it requires a lot of patience. You can't rush these things or they turn out wrong. The workshop is usually a bit loud with the cooling systems and the cutters going, but you get used to it after the first hour. It’s not a clean environment by any means. There is oil on the benches and the smell of hot metal is pretty much permanent. We are a private limited company on paper, but in reality, we are just a group of people who know how to handle tools. We don’t have any big corporate policies that make sense. We just figure things out as we go. Sometimes a customer calls with a weird request, and we have to scratch our heads for a bit before we find a way to make it work. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to the machines. It’s a lot of hard work, and by the time we lock up at night, we are pretty tired. But it’s good to see a finished mould ready to be shipped out to whoever needs it.
