Over at Plot No. 2406 in Phase-4 of GIDC, Vatva, you will find Satva Coating Pvt. Ltd. doing its thing. Coating is a specific kind of work that requires a lot of attention to detail, even if the building looks like any other industrial shed from the outside. We have got the spray booths and the drying racks all set up to handle whatever comes through the door. It is a bit of a process, getting the surfaces cleaned and then making sure the finish is even without any drips. The smell of solvents is pretty much stuck in our clothes forever, but that is the life of a coater. We share the area with a lot of other factories, so the road outside is always full of tempos and people moving pallets. Inside our gates, it is all about timing. If you leave something in the oven too long, it’s ruined, so we stay pretty busy watching the clocks. We are not a corporate giant with a glass building. We are just a local outfit with a lot of heavy equipment and a few rows of shelves for the finished parts. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years and can tell if a batch is right just by looking at it. We just keep our heads down, do the coating, and move on to the next job.
