We are over at Plot No. 54/2 in Phase-1 of GIDC, Vatva. This is where we handle all our polyforming and plastic work. It’s a busy part of the industrial estate, so there is always noise from the street and the neighboring units. Inside our shop, we have several molding machines that run for long shifts. The smell of melting plastic is something you just live with here. We have racks and racks of different molds that we’ve collected over the years. Some of them are old and heavy, requiring a bit of muscle to move into place. The floor is usually covered in those little plastic pellets that seem to escape from every bag. We try to keep it organized, but when we are in the middle of a big run, things can look a bit chaotic. We don't have any professional writers or marketing people in the office. We are mostly just engineers and operators who know how to get the shapes right. If a machine breaks down, we roll up our sleeves and fix it ourselves. It gets pretty cramped when we have a lot of finished stock waiting to be picked up. We just keep our heads down and watch the temperature gauges. Vatva is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat, but we’ve been here long enough to not mind it much. Varun Polyform is just us doing our job.
