Kedar Rubber Industries

Kedar Rubber Industries is tucked away in the Gujarat Ricemeil Compound on Dhobighat Road. It’s an interesting spot because you have different types of businesses all working in the same general area. The first thing you notice when you walk into our space is that very specific smell of raw rubber. It’s something you get used to after a couple of days, but visitors always mention it. We spend most of our time around the presses and the cutting tables. The floors are concrete and have seen better days, but they hold up under the weight of the machinery. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s mostly just us handling the rubber sheets and making sure the molds are set right. Dhobighat Road is always a bit busy, and getting stuff in and out of the compound can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially for the bigger delivery trucks. We’ve been at this for a while, so we have a routine that works for us. We start early, get the machines warmed up, and start working through the pile of orders. It’s a simple life, really. We make rubber products that people use in other machines or for various industrial tasks. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to make sure the parts we make are the right size and don’t have too many defects. It is noisy and sometimes messy, but it is what we know.
