At Plot No. 3101 in Phase-4 of GIDC Vatva, you will find Krishna Engineering Co. It’s a standard engineering unit where we handle various types of industrial work. The space is filled with benches, tools, and scrap metal that we haven't gotten around to clearing out yet. We aren't trying to be the most modern shop in the area, but we have what we need to get the jobs done. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around the GIDC. We don't have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the phone picks it up. It’s a very hands-on environment. The guys on the floor know their machines inside and out. We deal with a lot of different components, some small and some quite large. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, but we have some fans that keep the air moving a little. We like the independence of running our own shop. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a group of people working together. The address is easy to find once you get into the 3000-block of Phase-4. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the tea stall owners and other business people nearby. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to get it done by the deadline without any extra talk.
