You can find Parth Engineering Company at 16 Abhishek Estate. We are inside the Girnar Scooter Compound, right by the Odhav Ring Road Circle. It is a big industrial area with lots of trucks moving in and out all the time. The compound is usually full of parked vehicles and spare parts. Our shed is pretty large, which is good because the machines take up a lot of room. There is always a bit of grease on the floor no matter how much we sweep. The noise from the ring road never really stops, it is just a constant hum in the background. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. The roof is corrugated metal, so it gets quite warm by midday. Most of us have been working together here for years. We know the machines better than we know our own cars. It is a straightforward engineering shop. We do not have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you will probably find us in the middle of something. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the traffic on the circle. Odhav is a busy part of town for businesses like ours. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in. It is a lot of hard work but we are used to it by now.
