Padma Engineering Works

We are located at No.2, 3rd Cross, in Sanjeevini Nagar. That is in the Moodalapalya area, right on the 1st Main. It is a small workshop where we do different kinds of engineering jobs. Mostly we work with metal, turning parts on the lathe or doing a bit of welding. It gets very noisy when all the machines are running at once. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too crowded on the street. The floor is almost always covered in metal shavings and we have to sweep it up every few hours. We are a small team of three people. We have been in Moodalapalya for a long time and know most of the folks around here. People bring us broken machinery or pieces they need copied. We don’t have fancy computer machines, just the old manual ones that still work fine. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because the metal is tough or the part is tricky. We have our tea breaks outside on the 1st Main to get some fresh air. It’s not a polished place with a lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to us directly. Padma Engineering Works is just a local spot where we get our hands dirty every day. We try to do a solid job so people come back when they have another problem. It keeps us busy enough to stay open.
