Pace Packaging Machines Private Limited

You can find us over at Plot No. 377A on Road No. 9 in the G.I.D.C area of Kathwada. It’s a big industrial park, so it’s easy to get lost if you don’t know the road numbers. We build packaging machines here. It’s mostly assembly work, putting together rollers, belts, and motors. The warehouse is quite large, but it feels small when we have four or five big machines being built at the same time. There's always the smell of machine oil and fresh paint in the air. We don't have a marketing team or anything; it’s just the engineers and the assembly guys. We spend most of our time on the shop floor rather than in the office. The office is really just a place to store files and take phone calls. In the mornings, the whole road is packed with trucks and workers arriving. We usually start early to beat the heat. We’ve had to fix the roof a couple of times after the monsoon rains, but that’s part of owning a building here. We just focus on making sure the machines actually work before they get crated up. It’s a lot of testing and re-testing. Some days are long, especially when a component doesn't fit right, but we get it sorted eventually. We’ve been in Kathwada for a while and the tea stall near the corner knows exactly how we like our drinks. We just keep working until the job is done.
