Om Shakti Glass & Aluminium

You can find our shop at No. A-3 in Purushottam Nagar. We are right across from the Bank of Baroda and the Umiya Mata Temple in Bopal. It’s a busy area with a lot of shops and people walking around. We work with glass and aluminium. Mostly windows, doors, and shop fronts for the local area. It’s a delicate job because glass breaks easily if you aren't careful or if you rush. We have to be steady with our hands and take our time. I started this shop because I liked building things and working with my hands. Now we have a small team of three. We spend our days cutting frames and fitting glass panes. The shop is full of shiny offcuts and bits of rubber seals and screws. We get a lot of people from the new apartments coming in lately. They want things fixed or new railings put in for their balconies. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights. We just show people samples of the metal and the different types of glass we have in the back. Sometimes we go out to the sites to measure things ourselves because it's better that way. We don’t want to make mistakes. We’ve been here for a few years now. The temple across the street is a good landmark for people to find us. We just try to do the work well and get home to our families at night. It’s a good life here in Bopal.
