Ravi Engineering

Ravi Engineering is located at Plot No 307 on Road No 4 in the Akathwada Gidc area of Odhav. Odhav is a really busy industrial part of the city and we have been tucked away here for quite a while. Our workshop isn't anything fancy. It’s a solid brick building with a tin roof that gets really loud when it rains. We do a lot of general engineering work. People bring us things that are broken or they need a specific part made from a drawing they’ve sketched out. I spend a lot of my time working on the machines alongside the staff. We aren't the type of place where the boss sits in a separate office all day. My hands are usually just as dirty as anyone else's. We have a few lathes and a milling machine that have seen better days but they still run true. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything. We just take the work as it comes in and try to get it out the door by the deadline. Sometimes we have to work through the night if a client is in a real hurry. The neighbors are all doing similar work, so we often borrow tools or help each other out. It’s a practical way to run a business. We just do the best we can with the tools we have.
