Ashok Piramal Group

Ashok Piramal Group has a local office here in Saraspur, Ahmedabad. We are located at 105, Thakur Niwas, which is in the Moti Salviwad area. It’s an older part of the city, and the building has a lot of history to it. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just a functional space where we manage different parts of our business, mostly involving textiles and some real estate matters. The streets around here are quite narrow and can get very crowded during the festivals. Inside, we have some old wooden desks and plenty of files stacked up. We spend our time talking to vendors and checking on the various projects we have going on. The people who work here have been around for a long time and they know the local market inside and out. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to get the job done. Sometimes it’s a bit noisy because of the neighbors and the local workshops, but we are used to it by now. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure the quality is right and the numbers add up at the end of the month. It’s a steady pace and we don’t feel the need to rush or make a big show of what we do.
