Ashhtec Engineering Company

Our workshop is located at Plot No. 2304/2 in Phase-4 of the GIDC. We do engineering work, mostly making parts and fixing things that people bring to us. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, but that’s just how an engineering shop looks. We have some older machines that we really like because they are reliable. We also have a few newer ones that take a bit more patience to get right. We aren't a big company with a HR department or anything. It’s just a few of us who know how to work with metal. The noise from the grinding and welding goes on all day long. We wear our safety gear and just get on with it. Sometimes we have to figure out a problem that we haven't seen before, and we all stand around a part and talk about how to fix it. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with grease on our hands. We take a lunch break at the same time every day and sit together. It’s a tough environment sometimes, especially when it’s humid, but we are used to it. We don't make any big claims about what we do. We just try to be accurate with our measurements and get the parts out the door on time. That is the daily grind for us.
