Ajit Engineering Works

Our place is at 17-Bhakti Nagar Station Plot. It’s very close to the Ambika Weigh Bridge, which is a big landmark in Rajkot. Ajit Engineering Works is more of a workshop than an office. We have a lot of heavy iron and steel machines that take up most of the floor space. The walls are a bit dark from the smoke of the welding and the oil from the lathes. We don’t have a lot of room for walking around. It’s a noisy environment, but that’s what happens when you’re working with metal. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while. Most of the guys here have been working with these machines for years. We wear heavy boots because there are always metal scraps on the ground. It’s not a place for anyone who doesn't like getting their hands dirty. We don't have a website or a marketing department. We just do the work that comes in. Usually, it’s local people or businesses from the station plot area. We have a small wooden desk where we keep the ledger and some pens. That’s about as much office as we have. We take our breaks outside on the step when the weather is nice. It’s just a regular engineering shop doing what we know how to do.
