Rohit Engineering Works

We operate out of No. 154 in the Tejendra Industrial Estate. It’s located on C. P. Road, right across from the Patel Estate in Kandivali East. The industrial estate is a noisy place, mostly because of all the machinery running nearby. Our shop, Rohit Engineering Works, is no different. It’s a concrete space with high ceilings and plenty of metal around. There is always the smell of oil and iron in the air. We don't have any air conditioning, so we keep the big shutters open to catch whatever breeze comes through Kandivali East. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or metal shavings. We spend a lot of time cleaning, but it never stays that way for long. It’s a hard-working environment. We have our tools and our machines set up exactly where we need them. It’s not a place for sitting around. People come in and out of the industrial estate all day. We know the guys in the shops next door. Sometimes we borrow a tool or help move something heavy. It’s a tight-knit community here on C. P. Road. We’ve been in this specific unit for a long time. The walls have some marks on them from years of moving heavy parts around. We just keep our heads down and do the tasks in front of us. It is just the way we like to run things.
