Globe Ecologistics is based on the 6th floor, at No. 62 on S.G. Highway. Being up that high gives us a pretty good look at the city, but honestly, we’re usually too busy to look out the window. Logistics is a messy business, even when you’re doing it from an office. We deal with a lot of paperwork, tracking trucks, and making sure deliveries are actually going where they’re supposed to go. There’s always someone on the phone arguing about a delay or checking on a shipment. The office is full of files and ledgers, and the printer is almost always running. It can get pretty stressful when things aren't moving on time, but that’s just the nature of the work we do. We’ve been at this for a while, so we’ve seen just about every kind of problem you can imagine. We don't use any fancy talk here. We just focus on the logistics and try to keep our heads down. The walk from the parking lot to the elevator can be long, and the highway noise never really stops. We’re just a group of people trying to keep things organized in a business that is naturally pretty disorganized. It’s a lot of long hours and checking schedules over and over again, but we manage to get the job done most of the time without too much fuss.
