New K.D. Engineering Works

You can find New K.D. Engineering Works over at Plot No. 75-76 in the Mahalaxmi Industrial Estate. We are pretty close to the Vbombay Conductor landmark in Vatva, which makes it easier for people to find us since the roads in this estate can be a bit confusing. Our space is basically a workshop. It’s got high ceilings and the smell of metal and grease that you expect in a place like this. We deal with various engineering tasks, mostly manual work and some machine operations. It’s not a clean-room environment; there are tools everywhere and the floor usually has some metal shavings on it by noon. We started out small and just kept at it. Vatva is a hardworking area and we fit right in with the other shops on this street. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. Usually, it's just us in our work clothes making sure the orders are ready on time. If you stop by, you might have to wait a minute for someone to hear you over the noise of the machines. We’ve been at this plot for a while and we know the other business owners around here. It’s a community of makers. We handle the jobs as they come in. Sometimes things get backed up, but we just put our heads down and work through the pile. It’s honest work and we like the tangible results of finishing a job and seeing it leave the shop.
