Navpad Architects & Interior Designers

Navpad Architects & Interior Designers is up on the second floor of the Abhishilp building. We're in office 201, which is pretty close to the Keshav Bagh Party Plot over on Judges Bunglow Road. It’s a decent area in Vastrapur to be working from. Our office is usually filled with rolls of drawings and material samples scattered around. It’s not the tidiest place, but that’s because we’re actually working. We spend a lot of time staring at computer screens or sketching out ideas on whatever scrap of paper is handy. It’s just a few of us here doing both the architecture side and the interior stuff. We don’t have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. If you come by, one of the designers will probably be the one to open the door. We handle projects of different sizes, sometimes it’s just a small room and other times it’s something bigger. It’s mostly about figuring out how to make a space work better for whoever is using it. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the commute isn't too bad. There's always coffee going and someone is usually arguing about where a wall should go or what color tile looks best. It’s just how we get things done. We don't use big words to describe what we do, we just draw and build. It's a lot of long hours but we enjoy seeing things finally come together in the end, even with all the inevitable construction delays.
