Espacio Architects

We started Espacio Architects because we liked drawing and seeing things get built. Our office is up on the second floor of Akshar Stadia, right there on Sindhubhavan Road. Most days you’ll find us hunched over desks or talking about site measurements. It’s a busy part of Bodakdev, especially being so close to Gitanjali Party Plot, so there is always a lot of traffic and noise around. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of people. It is just a few of us here. We handle the usual stuff like floor plans, elevations, and making sure the contractors follow what we put on paper. Sometimes things go wrong at the site and we have to go down there to sort it out. That is just how the job is. We’ve been in Ahmedabad for a while now and we know the local rules pretty well. People come in to talk about their houses or shops. We sit down with some tea and try to figure out what they need. We don't have any fancy speeches. We just work. The S G Highway is right nearby so it's easy for us to get to different parts of the city when we need to check on a project. Some days are longer than others, especially when deadlines are close. We just try to get the drawings right so the building stays up and looks okay. It’s a plain office but it works for what we do.
