Our office is over at Lovely Park Society, right near the Vishala Circle in Ahmedabad. We are at number 33. Since we are close to the Sarkhej Narol Highway, there is always a lot of noise and activity right outside our door. We do architecture and land planning work here, but we are not the type of people to wear suits or act formal. It is mostly just a lot of us leaning over desks, drawing up plans, and looking at maps of different sites. Jhuhapura is a very lively part of the city to be in. We get a lot of bright sun through the windows, which is nice until the Ahmedabad heat really kicks in during the afternoon. We have a small team and most of our day is spent on the phone or on our computers. We do not have a big reception area or a shiny lobby. Instead, there are usually just stacks of blueprints and rolls of paper sitting everywhere. We like being in a residential society instead of a massive commercial complex because it feels a lot more personal and less cold. We know the people who live nearby and we often go out to the highway for a quick lunch at one of the local food stalls. It is a busy life at Vishala Circle, but we just focus on the drawings and getting the planning right.
