Samrat Engineering Works

Over at Plot No. K1/48/2-b in Phase 3 of the GIDC, you’ll find Samrat Engineering Works. The shop floor is always a bit greasy, and there’s usually the sound of a lathe or a drill running in the background. We aren't interested in looking like a corporate office; we are a workshop through and through. Our focus is on the metal and the machines. Every day is a bit different depending on what kind of repair or fabrication job comes in. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. Most people find us because they know we’ve been in GIDC for a while and we know our way around a piece of steel. It’s the kind of place where you can walk in and talk directly to the person doing the work. We use simple tools and traditional methods because that’s what we are good at. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we use that time to grab a coffee and talk about the next project. It’s a humble setup, but we take pride in the stuff we make. We don't make big promises we can't keep. If a job is going to take three days, we tell you it’ll take three days. We just want to keep the machines humming and the customers satisfied with the work we do here at K1/48/2-b. It is a straightforward way of living.
