Khodiar Engineering

Khodiar Engineering is located at Shop No. 467 in the Sidhheswariya Estate in Naroda. We are quite close to the Sadvichar Eyes Hospital, so that’s a good landmark for people trying to find us. The shop is filled with various metal parts, lathes, and tools. It’s the kind of place where your hands are always a bit greasy from the machines. We do a lot of custom work, fixing parts or making new ones based on what people bring in. Naroda is a heavy industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. Our space isn't very large, so we have to be smart about where we put things. It’s mostly just a few of us working on different projects at the same time. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room; you just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because a part is stubborn or a machine needs a bit of tinkering. We’ve been in this estate for quite a while now and know the other shop owners nearby. If we’re missing a tool, we can usually borrow it from next door. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, just using our hands and the equipment we’ve got. We just focus on the metalwork and getting things back to the customers. There is always a lot of clanging and grinding noise, but that’s just the sound of work.
