Shakti Plastic Industries

Our workshop is at E-40 in Shayona Estate, which is part of the Bansidhar Mill Compound. We’re near the Memco Char Rasta on Naroda Road in Ahmedabad. Shakti Plastic Industries is the name we use. It’s an industrial estate, so there’s always the sound of machinery and the smell of melting plastic in the air. We have a couple of old machines that we’ve been using for years. They need a lot of maintenance, but they still work fine. The floor is usually covered in little bits of plastic scrap. We try to recycle what we can. It’s a hot place, especially during the summer months here in Gujarat. We have a few big fans but they mostly just move the warm air around. We produce small plastic parts mostly. Nothing too complicated. The guys working the machines have been with us for a long time. We eat lunch together in the shade outside the main door. The estate is always buzzing with activity. Trucks come in and out all day long. We don't have a sales team. People who need things just find their way to our unit. The office is just a small cabin we built in one corner. It gets dusty fast. We just keep our heads down and focus on the production. It’s how we’ve always done it. There is plenty of work to go around here for everyone. We stay until the job is done.
