Jay Ambe Extrusions

Down near the Torrent Power Station in Kathwada, things are always humming. Jay Ambe Extrusions is over at Shubham Estate, specifically number 51. It’s right on the Nikol Ring Road, so we get a lot of noise from the heavy trucks passing by all day and night. The location is actually pretty convenient for us, even if it is a bit dusty. Inside the unit, it’s mostly about the extrusion lines. They take a lot of watching to make sure everything is running smoothly. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and pressures. It’s not the kind of work you can just walk away from for long. The heat from the machines adds to the Ahmedabad sun, so it gets pretty sweaty in here. We keep a big cooler of water in the corner that gets a lot of use. Most of the guys live nearby, so we have a lot of shared history and talk about local stuff during our breaks. We don't have a big fancy office area; it's just a small cabin with a desk and some old chairs where we keep the logs. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't try to impress anyone with big words. We just show up, run the machines, and make sure the output is what it should be. The neighbor from the unit next door often comes over to borrow a wrench or a screwdriver when their own tools are misplaced.
