Shree Ashapura Mould

We are located over in Odhav, right across from Murlidhar Society. If you know where Jonson Pump is, we are just a stone's throw away in Adarsh-1 Industrial Estate. We occupy units 32 and 33. It is a bit of a dusty area but that is Ahmedabad for you. We spend most of our time working on moulds. It is precise work, even if the workshop looks a bit cluttered sometimes. We have got the machines running most of the day. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we manage with the fans. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to take a break and sit outside for a bit. We know most of the guys in the estate. We have been here long enough that people just know where to find us. It is not a big operation, just a few of us making sure things are done right. We do not spend much on advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. We just focus on the metal and the designs. The floor is covered in shavings by noon. We sweep up, but it never stays clean for long. It is an honest living. We take the work as it comes. Sometimes there is a rush, other times it is quiet. We prefer the rush because it keeps us from getting bored. The tea stall nearby makes the best chai, which helps us get through the long afternoons. That is us. We just close the shutters at night and hope the traffic is okay.
