Setting up at A-1 in the Royal Industrial Estate was a big step for us. We are right opposite Rajiv Nagar, which stays pretty lively all day long. Getting here every morning involves navigating the Kathwada Singrva Road. If you've been around the back of Kathwada GIDC lately, you know how the trucks can back up. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything too pretty. It's mostly concrete, metal sheds, and the sound of machines nearby. Our space isn't huge, but it fits what we do. We spend a lot of time checking orders and making sure everything is where it should be. The neighbors are all doing similar stuff, mostly manufacturing or moving goods around. Sometimes we walk over to the local stalls for a quick lunch when we don't bring dabbas from home. It gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the open plots, but that’s just part of working in Kathwada. We started out with just a few things and slowly added more as we went along. There’s no big reception desk here, just a desk with a lot of papers and someone usually on the phone. We stay until the sun goes down and the streetlights come on. It’s a lot of manual work and staying on your feet. That's how it goes in this part of town. Most of us have been working in this area for years now, so we are used to the noise and the grit.
