Mittal Engineering Works

Mittal Engineering Works is located at L-193 in the Gidc Estate Odhav. Odhav is a pretty packed area, and being in the G.I.D.C. means there is always the sound of machines running somewhere nearby. Our shop is just like the others around here. We have our machines, our workspace, and a small area for sitting when we aren't busy on the floor. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but we have a few fans that keep the air moving. Most of the people working here live close by. We’ve known the neighbors for a long time. Engineering work involves a lot of grease and metal scraps, so the floor never stays clean for long, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a practical place. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations. The address is easy enough to find if you know the estate. There’s a tea shop near the entrance of the lane where we usually get our fix in the afternoon. Sometimes the trucks blocking the narrow lanes make it hard to get deliveries in, but that's just part of being in an industrial zone. We just do the work that comes in. Some days are busier than others. Usually, we're just focused on finishing the tasks we started in the morning. It’s a steady life. We don't change much around here because the current setup works for what we need to do every day.
