Mimics And Controls

Number 37 Kalighat Road is an old address, and the building feels every bit of its age. Mimics And Controls has been tucked away here for years, surrounded by the constant noise of the street outside. If you come inside, you’ll find us working on control panels and wiring that looks like a giant puzzle to anyone else. The rooms are a bit dark, and we use those old desk lamps that get really hot after a few hours. There are drawers filled with resistors, capacitors, and bits of wire that we save just in case they might be useful later. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't spend much time on fancy emails; it’s mostly about soldering and testing circuits to see why something isn't clicking the way it should. The floor is concrete and usually has a few scraps of metal or plastic shavings lying around. We’ve got a small crew, and we’ve all learned to navigate the narrow hallways without bumping into each other. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood, and we just sit by the window and wait for it to come back while watching the people walk by towards the temple. It’s not a high-tech lab you’d see on TV. It’s a workshop where we get our hands dirty and fix things until they work. It's just what we do every day.
