MILACRON

MILACRON is based out of Vatva, in the GIDC Phase 1 area. This part of town is always busy, mostly because of all the industrial units packed in together. Our place is pretty much what you would expect from a shop in Vatva. There is a lot of heavy metal around and the smell of machine oil is something you just get used to after a couple of days. We spend a lot of time looking at parts and making sure the machines are running like they should. It is not a quiet job. The noise from the surrounding units blends in with our own shop floor. Usually, we have our lunch together in the small break area, talking about whatever is happening in the news or the local cricket scores. The roads in GIDC can get quite dusty, especially when the big lorries pass through. We have been at this location for a good bit of time. It is a practical setup with no extra frills. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the actual work to worry about that. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how things work without having to talk much. It's just a regular day-to-day grind where we keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come.
