We are tucked away at B - 7 in the Sidco Industrial Estate over in the M.M.D.A Colony. Arumbakkam is a busy area, and being in the industrial estate means there is always the sound of machinery or trucks nearby. Microform Engineering is where we spend most of our waking hours. The workshop floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, which is how an engineering place should be. We make small parts and do a lot of precision work that requires a steady hand and a bit of patience. Our team isn't very big, just a few skilled guys who have been working with lathes and drills for most of their lives. We don’t have a shiny showroom or a fancy website. If you want to see what we do, you just have to come to the estate and look at the parts coming off the machines. The office part of the building is just a small corner with a couple of old computers and some blueprints rolled up on the shelves. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans that keep the air moving a little. We’ve been here in Arumbakkam for a long time, and we know most of the other shop owners in the Sidco area. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the metal is good quality. It’s noisy and dirty work, but we take pride in what we finish. It is what it is.
