Easy Machines

Our workshop is located on H B Kapadia School Road, right across from the Uganda Society. We deal with machines here at Easy Machines. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find tools scattered across the benches and the smell of engine oil in the air. We spend most of our time keeping equipment running like it should. Sometimes that means taking a motor apart to see why it’s making a weird clicking sound, and other times it’s just a simple oil change or a new belt. Being near the school means it gets quite noisy in the afternoons when the kids are heading home. We just keep our heads down and focus on the task at hand. We have a lot of regular customers from the neighborhood and the nearby societies. They bring in all sorts of stuff that needs fixing. We don't have a glossy showroom with new machines on display; it’s mostly a repair and maintenance setup. We’ve got shelves full of spare parts that we’ve collected over the years. Some are new, some are salvaged from old units. We think it’s better to fix something if you can rather than just throwing it away. It’s practical work that requires a bit of patience and some greasy hands. We just take it one machine at a time and try to get them back to their owners in working order.
