Mascot Food Colours

Mascot Food Colours is based at Aangan Bunglows, right near Jasoda Cross Road. We are close to the Kankaria Maninagar Bank in the eastern part of Maninagar. It’s a residential-style area, so it’s a bit quieter than being right in the middle of a market. We handle food coloring products for different types of businesses. I started this out of a small space and it just grew over time. We have lots of different powders and liquids in all sorts of shades. Sometimes my hands end up with a bit of dye on them by the end of the day, which is just part of the job. The neighbors are nice and don't mind us being here. We aren't some huge factory; it's a small-scale setup where we focus on the details. Usually, it's just me and two other guys handling the orders and making sure the packaging is done right. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. We just answer the phone, take the orders, and get them ready for pickup or delivery. The walk to the bank is short, which is handy when we need to do the business accounts. Most of our customers have been buying from us for years, so we have a good rhythm going. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s steady and it pays the bills for our families. We just keep things moving.
