Maintanance Engineer

I’ve been doing this kind of work around Fatpurwa and Saimri for quite some time. Being a maintenance engineer in a place like Banda means you end up fixing all sorts of things that break down. People call me when their machinery stops working or if there's a problem with the local equipment. It isn't a big office or anything, just me working out of the village. Most of my days are spent traveling to different sites or homes where someone has a breakdown. Tools are usually kept in the back of my transport. It gets very hot here in the summer, which makes the work a bit harder, but things still need to be fixed regardless of the weather. I learned most of what I know by just doing the work year after year. There is always something needing a bit of grease or a part replaced. Sometimes parts are hard to find around here, so we have to make do with what is available or wait for a delivery from the city. Neighbors know where to find me if I'm not out on a job. It’s a quiet life, mostly just focused on keeping things running so people can get back to their own work. I don't really have a big staff, maybe just a helper when the job is too heavy for one person. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy. I try to get to everyone as fast as I can.
