Our setup is at A/24 in the Bansidhar Estate. It’s in the Bardolpura area, which is full of different small factories and warehouses. We make sweets and confectionery items here. Most days, the air inside the estate smells like boiling sugar or chocolate, depending on what we’re making. It’s a busy place with a lot of people moving boxes around. We have some heavy machinery for the mixing and the cutting, and it can get pretty loud when everything is running at once. We don't have a storefront where you can come and browse; it’s strictly a production unit. We spend a lot of time checking the batches to make sure they’re okay before they get wrapped. The Bardolpura sun can make the warehouse feel like an oven, especially in the middle of summer. We usually start our shifts early to get the cooking done before it gets too hot. Our floors are concrete and we’ve got pallets stacked high with sugar bags and flour. It’s not the cleanest-looking place because of all the flour dust, but we keep the equipment scrubbed down. We’re just a bunch of regular people making candy in an industrial estate. We don’t do any big advertising; we just fulfill the orders that come in from the local distributors. It’s steady work, and it keeps us on our toes throughout the day. We’ve been in Bansidhar Estate for a while now. It’s our second home.
